From today until September 9, the Central Bank has allowed banks to sell cash currency to citizens. This applies however only to currencies collected after April 9.
On Saturday the regulator published an official clarification on cross-border transfers. Residents may carry out transfers in rubles to their foreign accounts, convert such funds into foreign currency and credit it to their accounts in foreign banks, or transfer funds to foreign accounts of others. At the same time, there is still a ban on transferring more than $10 thousand from one bank account abroad within a month. From March 1 until now, it was prohibited for residents to credit their accounts in foreign banks with foreign currency.
