As part of the National Project to support small and medium enterprises, the Government plans to increase the share of companies that use the Fast Payment System (SBP) of the Central Bank of Russia with a commission of 0.4-0.7% of the paid amount.
In order to use this payment system, it will be necessary for the company to sign an additional agreement with the bank and to notify buyers about the new payment method.
Currently the alternatives to classic acquiring (1-3.5% commission) for small businesses is payment by QR code. The rate is similar as for the SBP.
Allowing money transfers between legal entities through the SBP is currently in discussion. The main advantages of this system would be that companies can easily send their payments 24/7. The rate is expected to be not higher than 1.5%.
